Alan Anderson, a 55-year-old employee of the New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), pleaded guilty to submitting 12 forged doctor notes to evade his work obligations. His actions were revealed through a joint investigation by the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and the New York City Department of Investigation.
Between February 13 and May 7, 2024, Anderson submitted these fraudulent notes, specifically for days he was required to report to the office—Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—while not submitting any for his remote workdays on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
