Paul Albinagorta, a 34-year-old man from Central Islip, has been indicted for Attempted Murder in the Second Degree after allegedly stabbing a co-worker multiple times in a workplace incident. The attack occurred on November 24, 2024, at Gino’s of Nesconset, where Albinagorta reportedly approached the victim from behind and stabbed him with a hunting knife during food preparation. He then chased the victim and other employees out of the store while making threats. The victim was hospitalized and underwent emergency surgery for his wounds.

Following the incident, authorities arrested Albinagorta at the scene and recovered the knife used in the attack. He had purchased the knife the previous night at a Walmart.

Albinagorta has been charged with multiple felonies, including Attempted Murder, and is currently held on bail with a hearing scheduled for January 7, 2025. If convicted, he could face up to 25 years in prison. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Kieran R. Rogers, with the investigation led by Detective Marissa Demeo of the Suffolk County Police Department.
