FORMER SCHOOL EMPLOYEE INDICTED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE AND USE OF A CHILD IN A SEXUAL PERFORMANCE
May 16, 2025

Brian Woehr, a 40-year-old former employee of the Lindenhurst School District, has been indicted on multiple charges related to child sexual abuse. He allegedly filmed himself abusing a child and shared videos and images of these acts online. The Suffolk County Police discovered the material after receiving tips about child sexual abuse images uploaded via Google. A search warrant at Woehr’s home led to the seizure of his cellphone, which forensic analysis confirmed contained the abusive videos and images produced by him.

Woehr faces numerous charges including use of a child in a sexual performance, sexual abuse, possession and promotion of a sexual performance by a child, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned on May 14, 2025, and is held on bail of up to $15 million. He is scheduled to appear in court again on June 20, 2025, and faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted. The case is being prosecuted by the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, with ongoing investigations by the police. Authorities urge anyone with additional information to contact the Suffolk County Digital Forensics Unit.
