Michael Khodorkovskiy, a 45-year-old from Brooklyn, was sentenced to 10 years in prison plus five years of supervision after pleading guilty to selling large quantities of cocaine, including over a kilogram, in Suffolk County, New York. His drug trafficking operation was extensive and sophisticated, involving hidden compartments in his vehicle and significant amounts of cash and gold coins linked to his crimes.
Khodorkovskiy sold cocaine to undercover officers near his Brooklyn residence and in East Hampton, intending the drugs for distribution in Suffolk County, especially during the busy summer months when tourism peaks in the Hamptons. He was arrested on August 2, 2024, with substantial quantities of cocaine, MDMA, cash, and gold coins recovered from his vehicle and home. Further investigation led to the seizure of over $395,000 in bank accounts.
He pleaded guilty in April 2025 to a felony charge of drug sale, and as part of his plea, he forfeited over half a million dollars in assets. The case involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Suffolk County DA’s Office, East Hampton Police, DEA, and others.
