FORMER PTA PRESIDENT ARRESTED FOR GRAND LARCENY

Pamela McManus, a former PTA president at Nokomis Elementary School in Suffolk County, NY, has been arrested and charged with grand larceny for allegedly stealing over $27,000 from the PTA. She served as president from July 2021 to June 2024 and had exclusive access to the PTA bank account during her tenure. The investigation found she used PTA funds for personal expenses and made unauthorized cash withdrawals during breaks. McManus surrendered to authorities on June 5, 2025, and was arraigned on a third-degree grand larceny charge. She is out on her own recognizance and is scheduled to return to court on July 10, 2025.
