MAN INDICTED FOR WRONG WAY PILE-UP CRASH THAT SEVERELY INJURED ELDERLY COUPLE

Miandad Khan, 37, of Dix Hills, was indicted for causing a serious multi-vehicle crash on Deer Park Avenue while under the influence of drugs. The crash severely injured an elderly couple and two teenagers, with all victims requiring hospital treatment. Khan allegedly drove the wrong way at high speeds, striking multiple vehicles before fleeing the scene. He faces numerous charges, including aggravated vehicular assault and drug-impaired driving, and is held on bail. He is scheduled to appear in court in October and could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
