HONDURAN NATIONAL PLEADS GUILTY TO MURDER

Jeremias Anaribamoran, a 47-year-old Honduran national, pleaded guilty to Second-Degree Murder for fatally shooting Gustavo Godinez-Carcamo, 40, after a verbal dispute in March 2025 in Central Islip. Anaribamoran shot the victim three times following an alcohol-fueled altercation, and Godinez-Carcamo died from multiple gunshot wounds. He was arrested shortly after the incident and is expected to be sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. The Department of Homeland Security has lodged a detainer for his deportation after serving his sentence.
