BRENTWOOD MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO ASSAULTING A POLICE OFFICER

Cody B. Fisher, a 29-year-old from Brentwood, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer and other charges after crashing his car into Suffolk County Police Officer Brendon Gallagher’s vehicle. The incident occurred on January 5, 2025, when Fisher sped away from a traffic stop, driving recklessly at up to 100 mph, and collided with the officer’s vehicle, causing it to flip and injure the officer severely. Blood analysis showed Fisher had a blood alcohol content of .06% and active marijuana in his system. He faces up to 10 years in prison and additional supervision when sentenced.
