Carlos Reyes-Redrovan, a major drug trafficker from Philadelphia, was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to operating a large-scale drug distribution network, including selling over 37 ounces of cocaine and about 11 ounces of heroin to undercover officers. His supplier, Akim Slater of Ronkonkoma, pleaded guilty to drug sales and weapon possession and was sentenced to 8 years in prison. Both cases involved extensive drug sales and illegal firearms, highlighting efforts to combat drug trafficking in Suffolk County.
