Congratulations to Suffolk County Officer Ferreira! Yesterday, he found out that he will be honored by the NY Jets as the Veteran of the Game for the upcoming Jets vs. Dallas Cowboys game on October 5th.
Jets player Tony Richardson surprised Officer Ferreira by calling him at yesterday’s press conference to share the great news.
Officer Ferreira lost both legs below the knee after stepping on an IED while serving with the Marines in Afghanistan in 2011. Officer Ferreira, thank you for your service in the Marine Corps and for your continued service to the residents of Suffolk County.
