Josue Zepeda Padilla, a member of MS-13, was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges including kidnapping, assault, robbery, and gang assault related to a brutal attack on a 15-year-old boy in January 2024. Zepeda Padilla and his co-conspirators lured the victim at a train station, assaulted him, and then kidnapped him, driving him to an abandoned building where he was beaten, stabbed, and left unconscious. The victim survived serious injuries after surgery. Zepeda Padilla was apprehended in North Carolina after fleeing Suffolk County.
