HONDURAN NATIONAL SENTENCED TO 25 YEARS TO LIFE IN PRISON FOR MURDER

Jeremias Anaribamoran, a 48-year-old Honduran national, was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder for fatally shooting Gustavo Godinez-Carcamo during a verbal altercation in March 2025. The incident occurred in Central Islip after a dispute while they were socializing and drinking. Anaribamoran shot Godinez-Carcamo three times, leading to his death. He was arrested shortly after the shooting and is scheduled to be deported after serving his sentence.
