FIVE MEN INDICTED FOR CARJACKING AT RONKONKOMA TRAIN STATION

Five men were indicted for allegedly robbing two individuals at gunpoint and stealing their vehicle in the parking lot of the Ronkonkoma Train Station in August. The suspects traveled from Brentwood to Ronkonkoma, approached a parked car, and threatened the occupants with handguns, stealing money and belongings before fleeing in the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was abandoned nine days later. The suspects, aged 17 and 18, were arrested in October and arraigned on multiple charges, including first-degree robbery and firearm use. They face up to 25 years in prison if convicted, and their cases are ongoing.
