Altariq Nixon, 43, of Coram, was indicted for intentionally starting a fire at a residence on Glenmere Lane, causing significant damage but no injuries. Surveillance footage shows Nixon attempting to set the fire with leaves and debris. He was arrested nearby with a crack pipe and lighter. Nixon faces charges of arson and drug possession and is held on bail. His court date is scheduled for January 6, 2026, and he could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
