NESCONSET TEEN INDICTED FOR EXECUTION-STYLE MURDER OF EX-GIRLFRIEND

Austin Lynch, an 18-year-old from Nesconset, was indicted for second-degree murder after allegedly shooting his ex-girlfriend, Emily Finn, in the back of the head at his home on November 26, 2025. Finn had visited Lynch to discuss their breakup, which followed a nearly four-year relationship. Lynch then turned the gun on himself, injuring his face. Finn was pronounced dead at the scene, while Lynch was hospitalized with serious injuries. He was ordered held without bail and faces 25 years to life if convicted.
