Rand Strollo, 62, of Amityville, pleaded guilty to Petit Larceny for failing to pay over $13,000 in wages to his employees working on public projects, including at West Islip Middle School. He admitted to withholding proper wages and hours from workers between 2022 and 2024. As part of his plea, he agreed to repay the stolen amount, which he did, returning the full $13,380 to affected employees. Strollo was arrested in November 2025 and faces charges related to wage theft, with the case emphasizing efforts to combat illegal contractor practices.
