Jeffrey Sloan, 62, of Central Islip, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for selling narcotics that led to a fatal overdose of a 25-year-old man in Brentwood. Sloan pleaded guilty in October to charges including criminal possession and sale of controlled substances. The investigation revealed Sloan arranged a drug transaction with the victim, who died from a mixture of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and other drugs. Law enforcement found large quantities of illegal drugs, paraphernalia, and transaction records at Sloan’s residence and camper. Sloan was sentenced in January 2026 and will serve 18 years plus 5 years of post-release supervision.
