SELDEN MAN INDICTED FOR ALLEGEDLY SELLING COUNTERFEIT PILLS THAT LED TO FATAL FENTANYL OVERDOSE

Elvis Rosales, 27, of Selden, was indicted for allegedly selling counterfeit fentanyl pills disguised as Percocet to a man from Bohemia, who died of a fentanyl overdose hours after the sale. The victim was found unresponsive and later confirmed to have ingested fentanyl from the pills. Text messages and surveillance links between Rosales and the victim placed him at the scene. Rosales faces charges of criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance, with potential prison time of up to 12 years. He was arraigned and is scheduled for court proceedings.
