DISTRICT ATTORNEY TIERNEY’S COLD CASE TASK FORCE MARKS NATIONAL MISSING PERSONS DAY BY SEEKING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING UNIDENTIFIED REMAINS
Feb 03, 2026

On National Missing Persons Day, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney’s Cold Case Task Force called for public help in identifying unidentified remains from two long-standing cases: Medford Jane Doe and Bellport Jane Doe. Updated case details and images, including reconstructions and sketches, have been released to aid in identifying these victims. Medford Jane Doe, murdered in 1994 by serial killer Robert Shulman, was a white woman with European ancestry and a tattoo that reads “Adrian.” Bellport Jane Doe, murdered in 1983 by her landlord Arthur Kinlaw, was a Black or Hispanic woman who used a walker. The public is encouraged to review the updated information and provide tips confidentially to help solve these cases.
