Earlier today in Mastic Beach, a 10-year-old boy found himself in a dangerous situation after climbing onto the roof of a home.
Seventh Precinct Police Officers Ryan McNulty and Sean Roche quickly responded, safely accessing the roof and remaining with the child to ensure he was calm and secure while additional resources were requested.
The Mastic Beach Fire Department arrived with a ladder truck and assisted in bringing all three safely back down to ground level.
Incredible work by our officers and our fire service partners. Situations like this require patience, coordination, and professionalism — and that’s exactly what was delivered.
