New York law that recognizes our Police Officers killed in the line of duty.

New York State has passed an important law that would recognize the sacrifice of our police officers killed in the line of duty. The bill sponsored by Senator Monica Martinez gives a LOD Widow or Widower a 50% reduction in property taxes.
However, this does not happen automatically; the town, village or other local municipality has to opt in. We are encouraging all local municipalities on Long Island to do so.
In the coming days, we will be launching a section of our website to track which municipalities opt in, and we'll post links to contact the ones that haven't.
