Officer Elitharp, demonstrated true heroism and what it is to be a Suffolk County Police Officer! He responded to a distress call and found a man slumped over in his pickup truck, which had driven into the water. Without hesitation, Officer Elitharp jumped into the water and rescued the victim. Thanks to his training and quick actions, the man is alive and receiving medical care for minor injuries at Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue. We are grateful for Officer Elitharp's bravery and commitment to serving and protecting our community!
