Suffolk PBA President Lou Civello addresses Dangerous Clean Slate Law.

Last Friday, we were joined by elected leaders and victim rights advocates at the Suffolk PBA complex to oppose Governor Hochul’s dangerous and recently signed Clean Slate Act.
This new law is a threat to public safety not only to Suffolk County residents but all New Yorkers as it will seal criminal records for most crimes including manslaughter, domestic violence, armed robbery, and much more.
We believe in second chances, but not at the expense of everyone else's safety.
Governor Hochul could have chosen a more reasonable path and allowed judges to have discretion over what to seal. Instead, she succumbed to radicals and put your family's life at risk.
We urge everyone to contact their state representatives and express their opposition to this reckless law.
