- Gary Cowell, a 72-year-old man from Patchogue, pleaded guilty to charges involving the dismemberment and concealment of Yvette Leonard's body after her overdose.
- Cody B. Fisher, a 29-year-old from Brentwood, has been indicted for Assault on a Police Officer and multiple related offenses after allegedly crashing into a Suffolk County police vehicle while impaired by alcohol and marijuana.
- Daniel Fier, a 40-year-old former attorney from Patchogue, has been indicted for allegedly stealing around $70,000 from clients through real estate transactions.
- A 68-year-old man from Selden, New York, was sentenced to 32 to 57 years in prison for subjecting his three children to 13 years of sexual abuse.

- Mitchell K. Johnson, a 38-year-old man from Farmingville, has been indicted for sex trafficking in Suffolk County, New York.

- Munim Raghid, a 26-year-old resident of Ronkonkoma, was arrested on January 2, 2025, for animal cruelty and contempt of court
- Tavion Elting, an 18-year-old from East Patchogue, has been indicted on felony weapons charges after a brawl at Smith Haven Mall during Black Friday shopping on November 29, 2024.
- Freddie Rice, a 34-year-old man from Bay Shore, was indicted for sex trafficking, accused of coercing three women into engaging in sexual acts for money through physical force and drug manipulation.

R.I.P. Deputy Bradley Reckling

The Suffolk PBA extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Deputy Bradley Reckling of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office who was shot and killed in the line of duty on Saturday while conducting surveillance on a stolen vehicle in Detroit, MI. Deputy Reckling had served with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office for 9 years, having received numerous awards during his career. He is survived by his expectant wife and three children. May we never forget Deputy Reckling’s sacrifice.
