On October 28th, we honored the life and legacy of Suffolk County Police Department Officer Vincent DeVivo, who was tragically killed in the line of duty on this day in 1962. While investigating a motor vehicle accident, Officer DeVivo was attacked by a suspect who was under arrest. This assault led to a fatal heart attack. At the time of his passing, he left behind his wife, two children, parents, and two sisters. Our thoughts and prayers are with the DeVivo family as they remember and mourn his sacrifice.
