Willie Curry, a 36-year-old man from Brentwood, has been indicted on charges of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his ex-wife more than 20 times in a McDonald’s drive-thru on November 2, 2024. This attack occurred just hours after the victim sought legal protection against him. Witnesses reported that Curry approached her vehicle on an electric bicycle and began stabbing her, prompting bystanders to call 911 for help.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Curry was arrested at the scene shortly after the incident. He faces multiple charges, including Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and various assault-related felonies. Curry has been held on a bond of $500,000 cash, with a court date set for December 20, 2024. If convicted on the most serious charge, he could face up to 25 years in prison or life if deemed a persistent felony offender. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Melissa Grier and was investigated by Detective Jack Ward of the Suffolk County Police Department.
