- Cody B. Fisher, a 29-year-old from Brentwood, has been indicted for Assault on a Police Officer and multiple related offenses after allegedly crashing into a Suffolk County police vehicle while impaired by alcohol and marijuana.
- Daniel Fier, a 40-year-old former attorney from Patchogue, has been indicted for allegedly stealing around $70,000 from clients through real estate transactions.

Gary Cowell, a 72-year-old man from Patchogue, pleaded guilty to charges involving the dismemberment and concealment of Yvette Leonard's body after her overdose. Leonard, 56, had been missing since June 13, 2024, and Cowell was the last person to see her alive. Following investigations, he confessed to dismembering her body out of panic after her overdose and disposed of her remains in three locations throughout Patchogue. Law enforcement recovered the tools he used for dismemberment as well as the scattered remains. Cowell pleaded guilty to Unlawful Concealment of a Human Corpse and Tampering with Physical Evidence, both Class E felonies, and faces a potential prison sentence of 1 1/3 to 4 years. The case is being handled by the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.
