The Suffolk County PBA mourns the loss of Police Officer Samuel Riveros of the Baldwin Park Police Department, who was tragically killed in the line of duty on May 31.
Officer Riveros and his partner responded to a shooting and came under fire while on scene. He was mortally wounded, another officer was injured, and the initial victim later died at the hospital. The suspect is in stable condition.
Officer Riveros served with honor for nine years. We honor his sacrifice and stand with his family and fellow officers during this difficult time.
