Suffolk police officers help deliver baby boy in Shirley

Early this morning, Officers received a call of a lady giving birth at her home in Shirley. Officer Diemer arrived on scene and assisted her immediately. Not far behind, Sgt. Negron, Officers Rodriguez and Vormittag arrived and began assisting the woman. The baby was safely delivered and both mother & child were brought to Stony Brook University Hospital for evaluation. An incredible job by all 4 of our SCPD members who assisted in this emergency situation. Great work!
