Sentenced to three to nine years in prison for a home-invasion rape

The District Attorney of Suffolk County, Raymond A. Tierney, announced that 16-year-old Randell Hollman has been sentenced to three to nine years in prison for a home-invasion rape that took place in Mastic Beach. Hollman, who was 14 at the time of the crime, broke into a home and sexually assaulted a 23-year-old mother in front of her four-year-old child. He also slashed and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.
Hollman pleaded guilty to charges including rape, assault, burglary, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was sentenced by Acting Supreme Court Justice Karen Kerr and will be required to register as a sex offender.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Veronica McMahon and Carlos J. Benitez II, with investigation conducted by the Suffolk County Police Department. District Attorney Tierney emphasized the seriousness of the offense and the impact on the victims, stating that his office will always seek accountability and justice regardless of the defendant's age.
