Indicted for Sex Trafficking

District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced the indictment of Michael Howell, 64, of Brooklyn, for sex trafficking a Suffolk County woman. Howell allegedly forced the victim into sexual acts for money, using drugs and violence to control her. The charges include sex trafficking, promoting prostitution, and drug possession. Howell was arraigned and is being held on bail. The case is being prosecuted by the District Attorney's H.E.A.T. Unit, with investigation by the Suffolk County Police Department's Human Trafficking Unit.
