- Gary Cowell, a 72-year-old man from Patchogue, pleaded guilty to charges involving the dismemberment and concealment of Yvette Leonard's body after her overdose.
- Cody B. Fisher, a 29-year-old from Brentwood, has been indicted for Assault on a Police Officer and multiple related offenses after allegedly crashing into a Suffolk County police vehicle while impaired by alcohol and marijuana.
- Daniel Fier, a 40-year-old former attorney from Patchogue, has been indicted for allegedly stealing around $70,000 from clients through real estate transactions.
- A 68-year-old man from Selden, New York, was sentenced to 32 to 57 years in prison for subjecting his three children to 13 years of sexual abuse.

- Mitchell K. Johnson, a 38-year-old man from Farmingville, has been indicted for sex trafficking in Suffolk County, New York.
- Melissa Koprowski, a 31-year-old woman from Yaphank, New York, has been indicted on multiple charges, including Manslaughter in the Second Degree and Vehicular Manslaughter, in connection with a fatal car crash on November 22, 2024
- Munim Raghid, a 26-year-old resident of Ronkonkoma, was arrested on January 2, 2025, for animal cruelty and contempt of court
- Tavion Elting, an 18-year-old from East Patchogue, has been indicted on felony weapons charges after a brawl at Smith Haven Mall during Black Friday shopping on November 29, 2024.
- Freddie Rice, a 34-year-old man from Bay Shore, was indicted for sex trafficking, accused of coercing three women into engaging in sexual acts for money through physical force and drug manipulation.

R.I.P. New Mexico State Police Patrolman Justin Hare

On behalf of the Suffolk County PBA, we extend our sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of New Mexico State Police Patrolman Justin Hare, who was shot and killed while conducting a welfare check on a disabled vehicle early yesterday morning. He was only 35 years of age. May his memory and sacrifice never be forgotten.
