Congratulations to our 2023 Silver Shield Recipents.

At our open meeting on April 16th, we were honored to recognize the bravery and heroism of Police Officers Michael LaFauci, Shaun Sullivan, and Douglas Gaul from the 6th Precinct Anti-Crime Unit. Officer LaFauci was injured in the line of duty while pursuing a wanted subject who shot and injured him. Officers Sullivan and Gaul showed quick thinking and teamwork in support of Officer LaFauci, ultimately leading to his survival and recovery. As a result of their courageous response to the dangerous situation, the three officers were awarded the 2023 Silver Shield Award by the Suffolk County PBA. We are incredibly proud to have such dedicated and selfless individuals serving our community.
